How to Get Her

Clear the game and defeat The Illusory Three in the Bonus Room. You may add Silence to the party by pressing SHIFT twice while hovering your cursor over Spirit Curse.

Actually Using Her

Silence is a magic and support specialist. Her innate stats are identical to Water I in her base form. That is to say, low. She will need all the equipment and EX Skills she can get to make up for her mediocre parameters and transform her into a weakness-punishing dualcasting spell-slinger.

Always try to inflict status ailments upon foes to take full advantage of Evil Eye’s boosted power against them. One pleasant surprise is that magic used with Dualcast only deducts 1 cast’s worth of SP. As she is the avatar of silencing magic, it only makes sense that she can inflict the same upon opponents.

Tactical Mode Considerations

Dualcast doesn’t come until SL150, which is a long way off in Tactical Mode. You could run her as a pure debuffer, but then you’re in for one rough time...

Recommended Equipment

What Why
Elemental Knife (Any) All Elemental Knives carry Dualcastable magic. Plus they’re lightweight. The one to go for is the Aero knife since it has a 20% chance of inflicting stun.
Bio Crescent Saint II is built-in, and allows you to disregard foes’ immunities to magic and ailments. This allows Evil Eye and debuffs to work even against Neutral type opponents.
Sorcerer’s Cane For boosting Evil Eye’s power. Can be synthed into other weapons with III-level spells.
Orladin Guard Nice magic boosting shield. Good and light, but beware of the two 4x weaknesses she’ll gain by carrying it.
Dark Inferno Boosts magic power and gives the outstanding Ghost/Dark type pair. It is exceptionally heavy, but that is not a problem if you hand Silence an Elemental Knife.
Wind Necklace For casting Wind II.
Brilliant Feather For casting Light type magic.
Earth Spirit Ring For casting Quake I. Also buffs allies if they intend to do the same.
Proof of King Heavy, but allays range issues.
Any magic boosting gear Anything besides a Life Sphere, that is.
Any auto-recovery gear Silence’s entire gimmick depends on being at 100% HP, so naturally she wants HP regen. SP regen is also desirable since she will be burning through it like no tomorrow.
Choice Scarf Worth it if Silence is to play support. The AGI boost will also help Silence to land since it only has an innate 60% accuracy rate.

Recommended EX Skills

EX Skill Why
Type Affinity Ghost type is awesome. Even if Silence only casts Evil Eye, it is still worth having.
Auto Recovery Silence needs to be at 100% HP as often as she can.
HP+ Gives her higher % regen numbers for HP and makes her a bit harder to kill.
MAG+
AGI+
To compensate for her mediocre innate stats.
Affliction Helps non attack magic stick.
Magic Mastery She’s a spellcaster.
Magical Crit+ Straight up power upgrade.
