Interact with her at the Fallen Lighthouses while equipped with a Lightning type weapon or magic on your main character and she will join you.
8+ party members will require you to battle her before she will join.
Quick Move boasts superior typing and stats, making her a very strong character.
Steel type weapons tend to be excellent, and her outstanding AGI means she has incredible accuracy. This makes her someone you can count on to land attacks that have terrible innate accuracy. This coupled with her monstrous Steel typing and her guard skill allowing her to break the enemy’s HIT% floor while defending makes her an awesome dodge tank. Once she’s learned Accelerate, things only get better. Even in battles where her typing is less favorable against the enemy, she still finds use slinging items quickly to support the team.
Overboost is great, but unfortunately does not take into account buffs/debuffs. However, it DOES take paralysis into account (paralysis = combatant’s speed is 25% of its normal value). It also takes into account Choice Scarf’s 1.5x AGI boost. Use this knowledge and start popping lots of attacks against foes. This might not work well against Mighty Foes who resist paralysis, but find the ones who it DOES work on and Quick Move will lay absolute waste to them.
Pump STR and AGI and she’s good to go. You want her for Tactical Mode runs.
What | Why |
Thunder Bow | STAB bonus and shoots 5 times with its Multi Shot skill. The skill itself has mediocre accuracy, but Quick Move does NOT care. |
Fairy Killer | Recommended for similar reasons as the Thunder Bow. It trades power for improved accuracy. May be better to bring into certain fights due to its Poison typing. |
Auto Bowgun | It has Multi Shot. It may only be a Second Stage weapon, but it has favorable typing compared to its upgraded forms. |
Halberd Cannon | It’s heavy, but Quick Move needs powerful weapons like this to make the most of Quick Slash. |
KARASAWA | Both are STAB 155 power weapons practically made for Quick Move. MOONLIGHT can be used for unleashing Quick Slash. |
MOONLIGHT | |
Mad King’s Lance | Not usable during a first playthrough, but it’s a rare mono Earth type weapon which is nice. Comes with nice weapon skills and can be used for Quick Slash. |
Argentum Halberd | Thunder Slash for a 100% paralyze, then Overboost for an overwhelming flurry of fury. You may want to shirk paralysis duty off to a different ally to combo with Quick Move to save a turn of setting this up. |
Diamond Club | An interesting choice for a defensively-minded offense which automatically triggers her guard skill’s enhanced evasion any time she attacks. Her high AGI helps to compensate for the otherwise lacking accuracy of the included skills if you choose to use them. |
Dragon God | Steel/Grass is an awesome type combo to have in terms of resistance. Flame type foes would NORMALLY present Quick Move a painful threat with 400% type%, but with this shield’s Null Flame passive skill, Quick Move has nothing to fear. 0 weight is a plus. |
Merrill Ur’s Shield | Steel/Esper typing is solid and competes for the top defensive pairing in the game. It’s heavy and a viable alternative is a Rune Shield. |
Zircon Shilling | Steel/Dark is yet another great type pairing defensively. Just be on the lookout for Fighting foes/moves. |
Wind Guard | Aero typing helps to cover for Steel type’s crippling weakness to Earth and Fighting. This shield also boasts excellent skills and has WT0. |
Silverdark Shield | It’s on the heavy side, but since Quick Move won’t be using magic anyway, she stands only to benefit from Dampen Magic+. |
Luminous Ring | A good choice for powering up bow attacks if Quick Move goes that route. |
Any equipment or magic that applies status ailments (specifically, paralysis) | For maximum Overboost abuse. |
INTENSIFY | This piece of gear is a Quick Move exclusive and bestows up to 9 special skill effects. The trouble is GETTING those skill effects, which requires defeating a number of bosses in the main game. It’s also NOT available during an initial playthrough (must be purchased from the fat Darkness I NPC in the Bonus Room and carried over into a new game +). |
EX Skill | Why |
Stab Mastery | Powers up Quick Move’s bow attacks. |
Slash Mastery | For halberds. |
Expertise | For Quick Move’s weapon skills. |
Type Affinity | For attacking with same-type weaponry. |
STR+ | Beefs up the damage. |
Autoguard | No downside to this one since it triggers her guard skill's evasion limit break. |
INTENSIFY gains special skill effects as you defeat certain bosses while Quick Move is in the party and equipped with INTENSIFY.
